How to crop an image

This tool crops JPG, PNG and GIF, one image at a time. SVG and WebP are not accepted here.

Can I crop several images at once, and is it free?

Cropping is free and does not require an account. This tool works with one image at a time, up to 25 MB, 20 megapixels and 10,000 pixels per side.

Is the image uploaded to the server?

Yes, the selected image is sent to the server when you start cropping. The cropped file is returned and is not stored permanently.

Does cropping keep PNG transparency?

Yes. Transparent PNG areas that stay inside the crop box remain transparent. JPG has no transparency.

Can I crop an animated GIF?

You can crop a GIF file, but animation is not preserved as a multi-frame edit in this tool. Prefer a still GIF when you need a precise crop.

The subject is sideways. Should I rotate first?

Rotate the image first if the orientation is wrong, then crop. That keeps the crop box aligned with the subject.
